An episode from the Baburnama (the memoir of the first Mughal emperor): Babur, after a long boating party celebrating victory, returns to camp through the rocky landscape at night, carried in a palanquin by his retinue. Persian text from the manuscript fills the upper folio in elegant nasta'liq, the painting itself glowing with deep blues, cinnabar reds, and gilded tents.

From a late-sixteenth-century imperial Mughal Baburnama, made for the emperor Akbar. Restored from the museum archives by Aurah Living.

Printed on premium matte paper, finished within a slim wooden frame with cream mat. Available in Black, Red Oak, and White frames.
