About the piece Scroll ↓
Four gardens. One leaf. A whole world of bloom held in the palm of a symbol everyone knows.
The four-leaf clover has carried meaning for centuries — fortune, faith, hope, and love, one for each leaf. In the Mughal Clover, those four leaves become four windows into the Mughal botanical world. Each petal holds a different floral panel drawn from the rich tradition of naturalistic flower painting that adorned imperial courts from Agra to Lahore — coral poppies blooming against warm crimson, blush lotuses floating on jade, teal wildflowers scattered across twilight, and golden roses tangled in deep emerald.
It is a design about convergence. A universal symbol filled with deeply specific cultural beauty. The palette feels vintage and warm — dusty corals, muted teals, faded blush, and forest greens — giving the whole composition the softness of a textile that has been loved for a long time. Against the dark navy of the cotton, the clover glows like a stained glass window.
