About the piece Scroll ↓

The Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah I (r. 1707–1712) seated on a golden throne beneath a billowing scarlet canopy, his haloed head turned in profile, attended by his sons and courtiers — the princes kneel in saffron and emerald robes, weapons resting at their sides. Storm clouds break behind the throne to dramatize the imperial gathering.

An early-eighteenth-century late-Mughal portrait, vivid in colour and meticulously detailed. Restored from the museum archives by Aurah Living.

Printed on premium matte paper, finished within a slim wooden frame with cream mat. Available in Black, Red Oak, and White frames.
