Bakhtiari Ember — Garden Panel Persian Area Rug

Teal and charcoal panels hold chinar leaves, pomegranate branches, cypresses in urns and willows, all in burnt orange, copper and gold.

Bakhtiari Ember follows the garden carpets of the Bakhtiari region of west-central Iran. Their best-known design divides the field into panels, sometimes called khesti, from the Persian word for a brick or tile, and plants each one with its own tree or flower, so the rug reads like a Persian garden seen from above.

Here the panels sit on dark teal and charcoal, planted with chinar leaves, pomegranates, cypresses and willows in rich autumn colours.
