The emperor Jahangir holds his darbar (formal court audience) — enthroned beneath a marble canopy, courtiers and dignitaries arrayed in strict hierarchical rank below, ambassadors and supplicants approaching the dais. The composition is the canonical Jahangir-period court scene, executed with the refined naturalism and meticulous detail his atelier was famed for.

An early-seventeenth-century Mughal court painting, ca. 1620. Restored from the museum archives by Aurah Living.

Printed on premium matte paper, finished within a slim wooden frame with cream mat. Available in Black, Red Oak, and White frames.
