An eighteenth-century study from Bundi in Rajasthan of a standing noblewoman in a white floral sari and a peacock-plume patterned cloak, set against a deep ground that throws her jewelled silhouette forward. Bundi's painters were masters of this kind of poised, richly patterned female figure. A restored museum folio, archivally reproduced.
