Album Page Shower Curtain — Teal & Ink

In the seventeenth century, Mughal court painters made exquisite studies of single flowers, mounted on album pages within wide margins decorated with gold blossoms. This shower curtain is composed like one of those pages.

A single red poppy, with its buds and sage-green leaves, stands alone on a deep ink ground, framed by a broad teal border of gold flowers. It hangs like a piece of framed art: modern in its simplicity, rooted in the Mughal album.
