Charbagh Garden Shower Curtain — Bottle Green

The Mughal garden was laid out as a charbagh, a four-part garden divided by water channels that meet at a central pool, a picture of paradise on earth. Weavers carried the same plan into garden carpets, drawn as if seen from above like a map.

Here, blue water channels cross a bottle-green ground planted with cypresses and flowering trees, meeting at a fountain in the centre, all framed by a border of ivory blossoms and gold leaves edged in terracotta. A rich, unusual design with a story behind it.
